Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026. Your trust and data security are our top priority.

Our Privacy Commitment

At WirelessFreeiPhone, we treat your data with the same security standards as financial institutions. We act as an authorized intake partner and protect your information under federal privacy guidelines, including applicable ACP Guidelines and Federal Information Security standards.

1. Information We Collect

To facilitate your Lifeline/ACP application as an authorized intake partner, we collect information that is reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and complete your submission to the National Verifier.

Categories of information we may collect:

  • Identifying information: full name, date of birth, last four digits of Social Security Number, or Tribal ID where applicable.
  • Contact information: residential address, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Eligibility documentation: proof of participation in qualifying programs (SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing, Veterans Pension) or income-based qualification documents.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and pages viewed, collected automatically for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for legitimate, transparent purposes related to the government phone program. We never sell your personal information.

  • To verify your eligibility for the Lifeline/ACP program through USAC's National Verifier system.
  • To submit your application to participating carriers and communicate the status of your request.
  • To improve our website experience, monitor performance, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To send transactional communications (application status, document requests) and, with consent, program updates.
  • To comply with our legal obligations under Federal Information Security standards and applicable state regulations.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to maintain session continuity, remember preferences, measure site performance, and protect against fraudulent activity.

Essential cookies are required for the site to function. Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) help us understand aggregated traffic patterns. Functional cookies remember choices like language or saved form progress.

You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your eligibility but may limit certain conveniences on our site.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We share your information only with parties who are necessary to deliver the requested service, and only to the extent required for that purpose. Specifically:

  • Participating Lifeline/ACP carriers, in order to provision your device and service plan.
  • The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) and the National Verifier, for eligibility determination.
  • Service providers under strict confidentiality agreements (hosting, fraud prevention, customer support tools).
  • Government agencies or law enforcement when legally required, such as in response to a valid subpoena.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards aligned with Federal Information Security best practices, including:

  • 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit across our portal.
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive identifiers and application records.
  • Strict role-based access controls and multi-factor authentication for internal systems.
  • Continuous monitoring, intrusion detection, and regular third-party security audits.

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we maintain protocols designed to detect, contain, and notify affected users of any incident in accordance with applicable breach-notification laws.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults aged 18 and older who are eligible to apply for the federal Lifeline/ACP program on behalf of their household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information from our records.
